History of Feminism

Through the ages, there has been a struggle for women’s rights, which is the basis of feminism.

And Example Of Feminist Propaganda

Not in strength are we inferior to men; the same our eyes, our limbs the same; one common light we see, one air we breathe; nor different is the food we eat. What then denied to us hath heaven on man bestowed.” Queen Penthesilea Greek Mythology 450-500 BC

There are many theories on when feminism began, or when it started to ‘exist’
Ancient Romans for example, treated women with the utmost respect. Men in Ancient Rome had their names on gravestones if they died in a war or conflict. Women had their names on gravestones if they died in child birth. This may have been a the first step for women, even though later on in history, women are demeaned in other cultures.
For example,  in the 1600’s, women were expected to cook, clean, tend to the children, and stay barefoot.
In the 1700’s and the 1800’s, women were starting to be able to vote for parliament, and also were able to acquire jobs such as; seamstress and teacher.
In the 1900’s feminism grew quite a fair bit. They began to marry freely, work freely and be free.
Now, Australia has a female Prime Minister, but women are still supposed to be the cookers and cleaners.

Hopefully soon, such belief’s would be eradicated.
